Boarding Terms and Conditions
This section contains important information for you to consider.
Visiting our facilities
Quintessential Quarters believes in transparency and encourages existing and prospective clients to view our facilities anytime during opening hours, no appointments are necessary.

Closed to the public on all bank holidays
In accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963, a current vaccination certificate must be produced for each pet on the day of arrival other wise boarding will be refused. Dogs must be vaccinated against bordatella bronchiseptica (kennel cough) All pets must be wormed and regularly treated for fleas.
Charges and deposits
A daily charge will apply on the day of arrival. Pets collected before 10:00 am on day of departure will not be charged. Pets collected after 10:00 am on day of departure will be charged a full daily rate until the day of collection. Final balances must be paid in full prior to departure of pet(s).
The charges include accommodation and undercover run area, heating, dehumidification, lighting, boarding diet, bedding, baskets, treats, enrichment, exercise and play, pet insurance & VAT.
A deposit payment of £50.00 per unit of accommodation or 50% of the total cost of your pets break (which ever is the greater) is payable in order to secure a booking. This payment is due immediately and any balance can be made by contacting 01782 791070 The payment will be deducted from the balance owing. If the cost of boarding is less than £50.00 then the full payment is required. All deposits are non refundable and non transferable. We operate a strict first come first served policy.
It is the client’s responsibility to confirm that a deposit payment and confirmation slip has been received. We are not responsible for any payments lost in the post. Boarding fees are due for the full booking should you collect your pet/s before the due date of departure.
Checking in
The owners and staff are committed in providing the very best level of care for every pet that visits our exclusive facilities. To enable us to do this we create a pet profile. When you check in we ask a series of questions about your pet such as your animal’s favourite reward, play game, responses to humans and to other pets, aggression screening, destructiveness, phobias, fears or panicking, recent visits to the vets (please be honest) and other points of interest.
Each staff member is appointed a small number of pets to care for, offering continuity of care. Due to our extended knowledge of your pet we can quickly monitor any changes in their health or behaviour and act accordingly. Together our aim is to make every stay at Quintessential Quarters a pleasure for everyone.
Late departures
A charge of £35.00 per day for each pet that remains in the care of Quintessential Quarters over the confirmed check out time and date. Quintessential Quarters reserves the right to re-home or otherwise dispose of any pet/s not collected within 15 days of the stated departure date if no communication from the owner or the owner’s agent is received, and if an effort to contact the owner fails.
Health and Welfare
It is the owner’s obligation to inform Quintessential Quarters of any signs, symptoms, or changes in behaviour that may be related to an impending illness. If the pet is the carrier of an infectious disease, there is a possibility that it will contaminate the other boarders. Our commitment is to provide the highest level of care and hygiene; however, we cannot guarantee the integrity of our clients.
A condition of boarding is that your pet is fit and healthy however, during boarding if it were necessary you authorise Quintessential Quarters to contact your veterinary surgeon in order to receive medical or behavioral advice or history relating to your pet. In the case of a suspected illness or injury you authorise Quintessential Quarters to contact a veterinary surgeon on your behalf and give consent to any examination, investigation or treatment.
Quintessential Quarters will meet the costs for veterinary fees for any illness or injury up to the policy maximum. The policy excludes any pre-existing veterinary condition, pregnancy and vaccination.
Medication can be given to pets during their stay however; the container must be clearly marked with your name, the pet’s name, date, dispensed by, dosage rate and strength. Medication will only be given in accordance with the instructions. We will generally medicate non prescription medication free of charge, prescription and complicated regimes (e.g. multiple dosages or injections) will attract an additional charge which will be explained to you on checking in. If your pet is on medication then a medical chart/record is signed by you identifying the prescription and dosage.
Due to the location of the kennels and the activities that your pet/s will experience, it maybe necessary to groom and this cost will be met by the owner. It maybe necessary from time to time to vary, stop or withdrawn activities without notice, Quintessential Quarters will not pay compensation or offer any refund.
Quintessential Quarters accepts no responsibility for any injury caused or escape and the boarding facilities are used entirely at the owner’s risk. If in our sole and reasonable discretion we believe your dog to be dangerous or will cause a nuisance, harm or be threatening to anyone or to be likely to do so we may refuse entry without refund or compensation.
Payment Terms
CONFIRMATION AND CANCELLATIONS OF BOOKINGS
A reservation is not secure until a confirmation slip is received along with a deposit per unit of accommodation or full payment if less then £50.00 It is the clients responsibilty to confirm that deposits/payments/confirmation slips have been recieved.
All deposits are non refundable and non transferable. A charge of 2.5% will be added to any visa or mastercard payment, no such charge applies to debt card payments.
BOARDING FEES
Boarding fees are variable depending on the time of year. One day's boarding is from 10:00 am - 9:59 am the following day. Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year Day are charged at double rate. The boarding fees includes accommodation, heating, dehumidification, lighting, diet, exercise/play, insurance & VAT.
If the kennel owners consider in its professional opinion a pet requires bathing/grooming then a surcharge will apply. A pet will only be returned to its owner when all the fees are paid up in full.
DEPARTING EARLY/DEPARTING LATE
The boarding fees are due for the full booking should you collect your pet before the due date of departure. A penalty charge of £35.00 per unit of accommodation plus one days boarding will be incurred for any late departure.
PEACE OF MIND
We strongly advise that clients book additional days to allow for delays in transport and other unplanned events.
